On my desk

Let’s try an On My Desk post on a Wednesday. Since the last OMD, here are the gems that I have gathered:

1. The Dark and Hollow Places by Carrie Ryan
The final book in the Forest of Hands and Teeth series. I am half way through my personal, signed copy!

2. Chime by Franny Billingsley
Briony can see the Old Ones, but only witches can see them…and in her village witches are put to death. Witches, secrets, and a dreamy young man.

3. A Touch Mortal by Leah Clifford
“… trapped between life and death, cursed to spread chaos with her every touch, Eden could be the key in the eternal struggle between heaven and hell. All because she gave her heart to one of the Fallen, an angel cast out of heaven.”(from Goodreads.com)

4. Fallen by Grace Hooper
Two orphaned teen sister struggle to survive in Victorian London. From the descriptions I have read, it sounds like just about every possible bad thing happens to these poor girls. Add it to my TBR pile, please.

5. By These Ten Bones Clare B. Dunkle
Originally published in 2005, this reprint is “A bone-chilling tale of werewolves and love, set in medieval Scotland.”

6. Dark Moon by Steve Feasey
This is the second book in the Wereling series. Werewolves are still going strong!

7. Yummy: The Last Days of Southside Shorty by G. Neri
This award-winning graphic novel tells to heartbreaking true story of Robert “Yummy” Sandifer, an 11-year-old who accidentally killed a girl in his Chicago neighborhood in 1994.

8. Excalibur: The Legend of King Arthur by Tony Lee
From the author/illustrator team that brought you Outlaw: The Legend of Robin Hood comes a new graphic novel about King Arthur, Camelot, and The Knights of the Round Table.

9. Where She Went by Gayle Forman
This sequel to the New York Times Bestseller, If I Stay. Told from Adam’s point of view, the story of Mia and Adam continues three years after the accident. This one is at home on the top of my TBR pile!

10. City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare
Need I say more? Book four in the Mortal Instruments series has arrived! More Clary, Simon, Jace, Shadowhunters action. This is my next book!

11. Viola in the Spotlight by Adriana Trigiani
New York Time Bestselling author Adriana Trigiani made her YA debut with Viola in Reel Life. Viola in the Spotlight continues the story as Viola moves back to Brooklyn.

There was a little bit of everything on my desk this week. I hope you find something to read!

Happy Reading!
